This project explores a modular logotype system for the band Wave to Earth, whose sound blends indie rock, lo-fi, and jazz into a hazy, understated atmosphere. The letterforms are constructed using a Voronoi pattern-based grid, which is used in geography and meteorology. To conceptually align with the band’s name and environmental associations, the forms are blocky and structured to pay homage to “earth”, but are spread and arranged organically to pay homage to “wave”.
